this is the first soundtrack release for kitty-yo, put together for one of the best german movies made… alaska.de. a film that depicts the dreams, the search for orientation and sometimes the violence of the post-wall generation in the ghettos of east berlin. the double cd features rare tracks and hits by maximilian hecker, gonzales, peaches, laub, surrogat and new beauties. whereas the first cd includes all soundtrack material, the second part includes the whole score, arranged and played by moser/meyer/doering, a formation build around rudi moser of einstuerzende neubauten!

featuring prince po, stacs of stamina, quasimoto, jackson, slum village, sole and a whole delorean’s worth of re-wired contributors, ‘futurism ain’t shit to me vol. 2′ is the 2nd (who’d have guessed?!) comp from kitty-yo to nestle under the sweaty-bossom of gonzales (well, one of his song titles anyhow). there’s much to be enjoyed here whether this be the helium-hop of quasimoto (‘come on feet’), the glitch-opera of jackson (‘rock on’) or prince po’s electro-fed ‘hold dat (club mix)’.
